Micro-Care Nepal supports the last Nomads of Nepal
Micro-Care Nepal worked on the support of the last Nomads of Nepal called Raute. As they live a very stricked life in the remote jungles of the west of Nepal it was hard to make them accept our support. Their way of life is motivated by a strong believe in nature and their dependence on nature. During the one month that we build up contact with the tribe we got more and more accepted. We where able to make them start using body soap, washing cloth with soap and brush their teeth with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Beside this it's very hard for them to obtain food from jungle. We supported with food, items for vital hygiene, gave more then 35 first-aid treatmens and handed over 25 kg of fruits to the children and elderly people.
In total we supported:
1200 kg of rice, 30 kg for each family
750 kg of dal lentils
150 piece of body soap
150 piece of cloth washing soap
150 toothbrushes
150 piece of toothpaste
More then 35 first-aid treatmens
25 kg of fruit for children and elderly people.
The support project has been closed for now but we will re-analyse their situation again during the autumn of 2017.
